1. Purpose
This Safety Policy describes AllScanTool's commitments to operating a safe, honest, and responsible scanning service, and the expectations we have for all users of the platform.
AllScanTool is a code scanning tool. It is designed to help freelancers identify security vulnerabilities, integration conflicts, and delivery-layer issues in code they work with. It is not designed or intended for any other purpose.
2. Intended Use
AllScanTool is intended for use by freelancers, developers, and other professionals to scan code they have a legitimate right to scan. Permitted uses include:
- Scanning code you wrote or modified
- Scanning code you have been contracted to work with
- Scanning code you have been given permission to review
- Generating scan reports to share with clients as proof of delivery quality
3. Prohibited Use
AllScanTool must not be used to:
- Scan code you do not have the right to access or review
- Probe, test, or reverse-engineer third-party systems without authorization
- Generate fraudulent or misleading scan reports
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent AllScanTool's security controls
- Submit malicious code designed to harm AllScanTool's infrastructure
- Use AllScanTool for any purpose that violates applicable law
Prohibited use may result in termination of access to the service. For the complete list of prohibited activities, see the Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Scan Results
AllScanTool scans are automated and heuristic. A scan report indicates which patterns were detected at the time of scanning. Scans do not constitute a security audit, professional assessment, or certification of code safety.
Scan results are provided for informational purposes only. They should be used as one input in a broader code review process, not as the sole basis for security decisions.
5. Report Integrity
Every AllScanTool scan report includes a Verification Report Number (VRN) that allows anyone to confirm the report is authentic and has not been modified. Users must not:
- Alter or misrepresent the findings in a scan report
- Present a modified report as an authentic AllScanTool report
- Use a scan report in a way that is misleading or fraudulent
Report verification is available at allscantool.com/verify/.
6. No Code Retention
AllScanTool follows the code-handling practices described in the No-Logs Policy.
